It was late September of 1981. My former husband and I were planning to leave L.A. in a few days on a trip to Europe, and my friend and neighbor, whom I shall call Crissy, dropped over for a farewell visit.
Crissy and I had a mutual interest in the paranormal. We often got together at her house or mine to discuss its various aspects, and our own experiences in those areas. We also worked the Ouija Board a lot.
For some time prior to this particular evening we had been reading about walk-ins, i.e., spirit entities or extraterrestrials who "took over" the bodies of people who wanted out of this life. During a Board sitting we had been contacted by an extraterrestrial who called himself Jeremia (rhymes with anemia). He told us of his desire to obtain an earthly body, mainly because of his attraction to Crissy. Following that contact, Crissy did begin to have some very strange experiences in connection with a man she had been dating. Apparently, Jeremia had decided his was the body he wanted. Unfortunately, Frank was in no hurry to leave his body to Jeremia or anyone. Scary things were happening to him which he must have connected to Crissy, because he broke off their relationship suddenly, with no explanation.
On the night in question Crissy and I were discussing what had happened, but we were also talking about my upcoming trip to Europe; I thought it would be nice to take some pictures before my husband and I left, so I dragged out the Polaroid and we began shooting. For some reason the shots were coming out blurred--we could see the background through our images, like we ourselves were transparent. I wondered if the film had been overexposed or something. I had two more packs of film, so I opened another and reloaded the camera. This time we were getting the same blurred effect, but with dots of light added. Then it had to be the camera--light was getting in somehow. I didn't see how; I had used the camera earlier that day, with film from the first pack, and the pictures were fine.
Pictures from the last pack of film were no better, only now streaks of light which appeared to be moving showed up in them. I have never before seen that in a Polaroid or any other type of picture, nor can I figure out what caused it. I only know that I took more pictures outdoors the next day with the film that was left in the camera and they were fine.
I don't claim that there's anything supernatural about these pictures, because I don't know, but here they are...what do you think?

You can just barely see Crissy in the center. Light swirls coming up from the bottom. |

|
More light swirls. The room was not dark, overhead light was on. |
|
|
Light swirls appear to be in motion. |

|
More of the above. |

This one looks like a leash and collar framing Crissy's face. Notice the light swirl is totally within the picture, not coming in from any of the edges. |
I welcome your comments about these pictures. I have had very little camera experience, and would like to hear from someone who can offer a rational explanation as to how this could happen.
