Tiffy is one of a litter of four born to Poppy and Hootie. Her sister, Taffy, was also a tortie, and her brothers, Jackie and Blackie, were longhaired blacks. Sadly, Taffy was claimed by the road before her first birthday, and Blackie wandered off and never returned a year or two later. A good case for keeping kitties indoors, which is what we now do.
In the beginning Taffy was the affectionate, cuddly one, and Tiffy was quite distant and aloof. She remained that way till about a year after Taffy died, then suddenly began requesting attention. Now she's very affectionate, and demands that we be likewise. She'll get on our laps and squirm and headbutt, or get behind us on the back of the couch and comb our hair with her claws. She loves us both, but I do think she's a daddy's girl at heart.
She's not overly friendly with the other cats, but she will occasionally touch noses with her half-sister, Dolly, and let herself be headwashed by toothless, slobbery Abby. You don't want to touch her head for awhile after that!
She seems to love having her picture taken--will pose as long as Tim keeps shooting. You can see why we call her Supermodel--she and the camera have an ongoing love-affair. Since becoming a member of the C.L.A.W. Thespians, she has starred in the C.L.A.W. production of Little Red Riding Hood, which is still playing at the C.L.A.W. Theatre as of this writing.
Her voice is heard rarely, and when it is, barely. She has a tiny, short squeak which she uses mainly to ward off other cats when she feel threatened by them.
She is quite interested in the d*gs who came to live with us a couple of years ago, especially Flopsy, a red, Beagle-like houndlet. She tries to get Flopsy's attention by touching her with a paw or licking her face, but Flopsy isn't interested.
We're very proud of Tiffy , and happy to have her as one of our owners.
