Little Leo...tho he's not so litttle. He's one of our piggies--sometimes his sides stick out so, you"d think he was pregnant!

We first saw him at the home of neighbors down the road from us. He had been given to them by a relative who didn't want him. They really didn't want him either, I could tell. He seemed healthy enough, but no one talked to him or petted him--all he had for company was the d*g, who wasn't exactly the playmate he needed at his half-grown stage.

Not long after our visit, I heard from another neighbor that they definitely didn't want "kitty" as he was called. They knew we had lots of cats, and wondered if we'd take him. I said, of course, bring him to us--we'll be glad to give him a home. That same afternoon, here they came with him. He was welcomed and given the name Leo. and was told that from that time on didn't have to worry about being handed around anymore. I reassured him frequently that now he had a Home, and a Name. I could swear he knew what I was saying, and showed his thanks by purring loudly and trying to force his way up my nose! Such an affectionate guy!

Mainly because of the road and other possible dangers in the area, I keep all but two cats in now. Leo insists on going out in the daytime, and I let him, but I hate it. I am going to keep trying to turn him into a totally indoor cat.
