By what she believes to be a streak of luck, Dmitra Halberg lands the job of Resident Psychic at Hotel Finistere, a converted chateau located in an isolated region of south central France. There she meets Levon Haricourt, the hotel's driver, pilot and general handyman. Naturally, the two fall in love; but equally naturally, someone else doesn't like this arrangement and sets out to shatter the relationship. Count DuFaulk, a 2,000 year old immortal, has set his sights on Dmitra and will use every trick in his bag of superhuman powers to get her. Whether as a result of his heritage, or just from living for 2,000 years without sex, the Count is a wee bit wacky. Unhappily for Dmitra and the other hotel employees, this condition is highly contagious. What is it? It's romance, it's suspense, it's funny--also, it's rather long, so keep your bookmarks handy.
